Powell movement
Sorry. I stole that title from an old Daily Show bit :)
A former aide to Colin Powell, Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, has fingered Cheney: "Cheney cabal hijacked US foreign policy". You might recognize Wilkerson from that August CNN documentary, "Dead Wrong," when Wilkerson came clean with the "Chinese Menu" of bogus intelligence provided to his boss. Wilkerson contends that Cheney, Libby and Feith's shadow intel/cluster-F were to blame for Powell's shameful speech at the UN in Feb 2003. So what does Powell think about all of this conscience-clearing? Well, not so pleased:
"He's not happy with my speaking out because, and I admire this in him, he is the world's most loyal soldier."
Loyal soldier? Loyal to whom? Speaking at the University of Buffalo, Powell told the crowd, "We're not doing bad at all" in foreign affairs. As for Iraq, Powell's message was a ridiculous rally to "stay the course".
