Fitz to Bolton: A Moustache says what?

***It was Bolton!*** Raw Story has the goods but please allow me to summarize:

America's Ambassador to the UN, John Bolton, was the intermediary source of Valerie Plame's identity. The indictment of Libby indicated that Scooter received Plame/Wilson's CIA identity from multiple sources in May/June 2003. Cheney is explicitly mentioned in the indictment but there are at least two other sources that are mentioned by title/dept only. In particular, Libby was said to have asked someone in the State dept for info on Wilson. That person was John Bolton. Bolton used to work in the State Dept as undersecretary for arms control. This is interesting because previous specu-news suggested that the State dept source was Marc Grossman--not someone believed to hold a grudge against uranium-whistleblowers, like Joe Wilson. As we know from Bolton's fractious non-confirmation proceedings, Bolton did have a personal interest in the uranium/Iraq "intelligence" and threatened to fire career State dept. intel people when their info didn't buttress Bolton's mythologies. Now, there was source: an unnamed source in the CIA itself. Well, turns out that a Bolton toady in the CIA provided God's angry man with the info about Agent Plame (Note: her maiden name). What is not yet known is whether Cheney's initial pillowtalk about Wilson's wife led Scooter to make the inquiries to State/CIA. Scooter is due to be arraigned this morning and he's expected to plead not-guilty to all five counts. I have no idea if this will come to a trial in good-time; he could wait out the 2008 pardon-clock.
